In 2019, FHLBank Topeka will award approximately $12.3 million in affordable housing program grants. In 2018, successful applications received a minimum score of approximately 70 points. The funds were awarded primarily to projects located in FHLBank Topeka's four state district of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

- Maximum project subsidy increased from $750,000 to $1,000,000
- Maximum subsidy per unit increased from $40,000 to $50,000, and the scoring criteria calcalation reflects this increase.
- Owner-occupied Rehabilitation projects are no longer subject to a five-year retention period.
